Is a registered clinical counselor and a member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counselors (BCACC), and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) with the designation of Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). For the past 12 years, she has been offering counselling services. Dr. Ghorbankhani holds a Doctorate Degree in Psychology (PsyD) and has conducted several research, including one that delved into the Educational, Mental, and Emotional Effects of Delayed Assessment and Educational Alterations for Gifted Students. Her master’s degree thesis, “Narcissus and Echo: Narcissistic Personality Disorder Examined,” brought to light the complexities of narcissistic personalities and their influence on those around them. She specializes in various practice areas, encompassing adaptations, relationships, giftedness, cross-cultural counselling, anxiety, and depression.

What sets Dr. Ghorbankhani apart is her holistic approach to therapy. She emphasizes the importance of supporting individuals as a whole, rather than merely addressing some of their symptoms. She collaboratively and nonjudgmentally works with her clients to develop personalized treatment plans that are tailored to their unique needs and goals.

Her therapeutic methods are grounded in evidence-based practices while keeping herself informed about the latest used research and technique methods in psychology. She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which, when necessary, complements her therapeutic work.
